Nordic Walking Monte Baldo
In addition to the physical benefits, Nordic Walking on Monte Baldo - and particularly in the Prada Costabella area - offers you a unique opportunity to commune with nature. You can observe all the local flora and fauna while you walk through shady woods and flower-filled meadows, and along scenic ridges. Monte Baldo is particularly well-known for its rare and endemic plant species, making every walk an educational experience as well as an enjoyable form of recreation.
Also, thanks to its proximity to lake Garda, Monte Baldo has a particularly mild climate, so you can practice Nordic Walking there for most of the year. The fresh, clean air, together with the natural beauty of the landscape, contribute to a general sense of well-being.
The combination of splendid trails and views and rich biodiversity make every walk an unforgettable experience.
The Nordic Walking Park in Brenzone includes a 1.5 km trail that starts from Rifugio Mondini Baito Turri (formerly Mondini). This takes you along a flat stretch to Malga Valvaccara, and on towards the former dairy of the Malga, continuing to the plains of Valvaccara and finally to Malga Buse. This mountain hut is at an altitude of 1600 m.
There is another trail that starts at 1,800 metres and goes up to 2,000 metres. Starting from Fiori del Baldo Refuge/Rifugio Fiori del Baldo, you follow the old military road (path CAI 658), which takes you under the Church of Costabella and Rifugio Chierego and goes up to Bocchetta Coal Santo. You then go downhill along path CAI 57 and follow the route back to Rifugio Fiori del Baldo. From the pastures of Costabella.
An ideal place to practise this sport, above the clouds, above the lake, before the sky.
