Ticket sales terms and conditions

Tickets purchased from the Azienda Funicolari Malcesine Monte Baldo (hereinafter ATF Malcesine Monte Baldo) are strictly personal and may not be transferred, exchanged, or duplicated.

In the event of any abuse or misuse, including selling or transferring it to another person, the card will be immediately revoked by the staff member in charge and criminal proceedings will be initiated.

Purchase and possession of the ticket implies full knowledge and acceptance of the transport regulations and rules of use of the Malcesine Monte Baldo cableway.

Use of the ticket implies full acceptance of the conditions set forth in the regulations, which are summarised below in their essential aspects:

  • the ticket is a personal document and is not transferable;
  • the ticket holder is responsible for its safekeeping;
  • cableway staff may ask the user for identification at the time of access;
  • the ticket is valid from the beginning of the season until the end of the season, the price of which can be checked on the official price list and published on the company's internet list;
  • the ticket holder is entitled to access the facilities provided by the purchased ticket;
  • the lifts are open to the public according to the programme prepared by Management and displayed at all ticket offices and on the website;
  • the purchaser acknowledges that the evening closing time indicated at the departure of the lifts is mandatory. ATF Malcesine - Monte Baldo is not responsible if, due to the closing of the lifts in accordance with the timetables or in advance due to force majeure, the traveller incurs expenses or suffers any inconvenience in returning to the point of departure.
    Attention! There are no extensions to the ski lift operating hours.
  • the dates and times of the opening and closing of the facilities, as well as their total or partial closure for technical reasons (such as malfunctions or the need for extraordinary maintenance), safety reasons (such as wind exceeding the minimum allowed levels), electricity blackouts, closure of one or more access roads to the area, personnel strikes (including those involving ATF Malcesine) and, more generally, for any other reasons outside of ATF Malcesine's control are all according to its authority and preference. Per the above, the purchaser is not entitled to claim compensation for closure and timetables, whether for partial or total shutdowns;
  • play close attention to notices on ski lifts;
  • minors: parents or those with parental authority, i.e., the person to whom the minor is entrusted, are responsible for determining whether the minor meets the requirements for the purchase and/or application of a ticket in compliance with the legal regulations regarding the use of cableways. In a similar vein, those same individuals are responsible for determining the existence of the required technical and physical capacities for the use of the facilities;
  • ATF Malcesine - Monte Baldo is not liable for damage that may occur to clothing and/or equipment during recreational activities due to causes not attributable to ATF and not legally demonstrable. Consequently, no insurance is provided. Users are informed of the unavoidable risk of possible traces of grease/oil on the ski lifts;
  • unused cards are not reimbursed under any circumstances.

Types of tickets that can be purchased

Provisions for travellers

Travellers must have a ticket to use the service.

Persons outside the service are prohibited - unless authorised or required for the exercise of trade union rights regulated by law or contractual agreements - from entering the areas and fences of the facility.

Those who are intoxicated or in a psycho-physical state that could endanger their own safety or the safety of others, people whose behaviour could endanger safety, agitate other passengers, or disrupt public order, people carrying objects that make it difficult for them to board the vehicles, and people who are improperly dressed or, in any case, not adequately protected given the weather conditions are all prohibited from using the transportation.

Users are required to take the appropriate safety measures and keep an eye on their belongings, as well as the safety of other people and animals under their care.

Travellers who are unfamiliar with the transport system must notify the staff and ask for instructions, including how to carry out rescue operations on the line by lowering to the ground.

Bearing in mind also the manner in which passengers may be rescued in line, disabled travellers must make any need for help known in advance and agree with the staff on any different modes of transport.

The transport of firearms, even if unloaded and/or disassembled, including ammunition, by private individuals is prohibited. 

No precedence is permitted except for service, rescue, and surveillance.

Travellers are obliged to comply with rules issued by the competent Authority and the Management of the Company holding the concession for the installation, in the interest of regularity of operation, displayed in the stations and vehicles, as well as all other provisions that, in order to avoid accidents, may be issued by the installation's agents.

Passengers must not distract or divert the agents from carrying out their duties; when entering and exiting the vehicles, they must comply with the instructions given by the agents.

In particular, travellers must abide by the following:

  • cooperate to ensure that the transport is carried out properly, behaving in such a way as to not endanger others or otherwise cause harm;
  • follow the instructions of the officers when entering and exiting the vehicles;
  • immediately leave the landing location in the designated direction. 

It is absolutely forbidden for travellers to:

  • cause the cars to oscillate in any way;
  • travel in the car in incorrect and dangerous positions;
  • touch and operate safety and warning devices;
  • damage, deteriorate, or soil the cars, premises, and areas or their furnishings and accessories;
  • access stations or board vehicles without the staff present;
  • speak to system staff, except when necessary for service.

In the event of a shutdown making, it necessary to rescue passengers on the line, they must follow the instructions provided by the cable car staff and not take any initiative on their own, even if they feel that they can rescue themselves or others due to certain circumstances.

Passengers who violate these terms and conditions will be responsible for any repercussions or harm they cause to other passengers, the operator, or third parties.

Those violating the provisions of these regulations, brought to the public attention via special announcements, will be prosecuted in accordance with Article 18 of Italian Presidential Decree 753/80.

If non-compliance poses a substantial risk to the safety of the other passengers, violators will be reported to the judicial authorities if their actions fall within one of the categories listed in Presidential Decree no. 753 of 11 July 1980 or Articles 432 and 650 of the Italian Criminal Code.

Complaints from travellers concerning the regularity and safety of the service should be sent to U.S.T.I.F. for Veneto eand Friuli V.O. - Strada della Motorizzazione Civile, 13 - 30174 MESTRE (VE) and to the Province of Verona - Via S. Maria Antica, 1 - 37121 VERONA, with the complainant's full name and address. Anonymous complaints will not be taken into consideration.

We also advise and remind our customers that: The A.T.F. Malcesine - Monte Baldo is not responsible, and therefore, no reimbursement is due in the event of partial shutdown of the system due to unforeseen events (e.g., excessive wind, unforeseeable technical problems, sudden and unannounced lack of power).
